Education Consultant
Sandy has spent her professional career supporting the individual needs of students in her role as a teacher, mentor, program coordinator and administrator in Irvine Unified School District. Her passion lies in early childhood as she believes this is the most crucial time in development. Sandy’s experience in implementing school wide and classroom positive behavioral interventions and supports (PBIS) in early childhood, as well as supporting families and educators to provide the individual academic and social/emotional needs of students spans over 20 years.
Sandy has presented numerous times in local and state conferences on school readiness, behavior, preschool special education, child development, social and emotional development and transition to kindergarten. In addition, she provided leadership and oversight for the implementation of the transitional kindergarten program for IUSD .
Sandy has served in a volunteer capacity on the Irvine Children and Families Advisory Committee, the Irvine Child Care Committee and as a board member and committee chair for Families Forward. Most importantly, Sandy is the mother of two young adults and enjoys time with her husband, boys and dogs!
